Marks & Spencer sale next week - anyone know?

Heard theres going to be a Marks & Spencer mid-season sale next week possibly starting on Monday 4th October.

Can anyone confirm this?

I have a friend who works in one of the outlet stores and she confirmed that the Sale will be within the next two weeks as they are preparing for a huge excess sale stock delivery.

Fingers crossed this will be a good one then- the last sale was not discounted enough for me aside from one sports bra. All the good stuff was left at full price, all the stuff no one wanted, thats all I saw in the sale. Like I say, fingers crossed!

Sale is definately on instore from Tuesday 5th Oct. One of the sales staff told me as they had been sorting out the staff rotas that morning.

Tuesday is an unusual day to start the sale isn't it usually a Thursday?

It was originally rumoured to be on the Thursday, but has apparently been pulled forward by a couple of days. Other mumbles on the Net suggest if will be just a mid-season sort out, not huge.
The last couple of sales have been smaller in scope than those I remember previously. It is almost as if M&S looks to see what is sticking and then tries to get rid of it asap in these mini-clearouts. It's probably a good tactic: if the economy goes belly up, it will have cash not stock in hand...

last year the big Autumn Sale started on the Tuesday of the first week in October, and in 2008 the same...

Fingers crossed - will be able to get some Christmas Presents - I've got my eye on a couple of those Timothy Everest Luxury Sartorial shirts for my dad...

i think it's starting tomorrow i have friends who work at m&s and when they got into work today they were all asked to stay till 10pm instead of 4pm
