Cash ISA transfer
I’m thinking
of transferring money I hold in a cash ISA with Yorkshire Building Soc to my
Halifax S&S ISA. Am I correct
in thinking I just have to fill out an ISA transfer form which is on the
Halifax web site, send it back and they will sort it? I think as
it’s money from this years ISA allowance, I need to move all of…

Secured Bond Investments - Scams
On a secured fixed term bond, when things go wrong even with initial due diligence with the likes of Companies House, The FCA, Action Fraud and the Sussex Police and crime commissioner, where does one turn. Secured bonds normally should have an asset of some type set against them to the value of the loan note and the whole…

Why does PensionBee keep time-weighted return a secret?
I have been largely content with PensionBee but am disappointed to learn that unlike most financial institutions it does not reveal time-weighted returns. This makes it impossible to compare it with Nutmeg, Moneyfarm, WealthSimple, Wealthify or just about anyone else. PensionBee says 'Research showed that for most…

Stocks+Shares Lifetime ISA -any recommendations??
My partner and I are thinking we should each open a Lifetime ISA with the plan being to not use it until retirement. As retirement is ~30years away we think a stocks+shares would be best. After looking online, we don't really recognise most of the banks/companies offering LISAs. Does anyone have any recommendations as to…

II - Dividends in $?
I have just moved my account to II, and was surprised to find that dividends from the likes of VWRL, VUSA and ISP6 are paid, and held, in US$. I could not actually see the payments at all, until I was told to click on the US$ tab on the 'Recent Transactions' page. I have been with several platforms, including AJ Bell and…

Selling shares
I have shares i want to sell but at present I simply hold the physical share certificate and don't have a share dealing account. Once I sell these I wont have any remaining shares so don't really want to open a shared dealing account that has an annual fee that I'd pay for the year only to then close it as soon as the sale…

Relocating to Singapore / UK Finances
Hi Everybody, A bit of a long-winded one, but I thought I'd put our current situation out there and see what people's opinion are, so here goes... We are due to relocate to Singapore in December, where both my wife and I have been offered nice roles at the company we work for. Kids are coming with us (obviously) and will…

Tandem Fixed Saver
Tandem just told me my Fixed Saver matures in one month. I've no intention of re-investing with them (much better rates now available) but noted their e-mail included the following. Anyone know if this constitutes breach of contract on their part? "Your original Savings Agreement stated that if we didn’t hear from you…

Building society security
Hi - It always seems to be the smaller building societies that offer the best fixed term and variable rates - I know we are supposedly covered by the 85000 protection - but it worries me NSANDI say they are 100% safe as they are part of the Bank of England - which to me implies that the building societies are less secure -…
