Cash ISA transfer
I’m thinking of transferring money I hold in a cash ISA with Yorkshire Building Soc to my Halifax S&S ISA.
Am I correct in thinking I just have to fill out an ISA transfer form which is on the Halifax web site, send it back and they will sort it?
I think as it’s money from this years ISA allowance, I need to move all of it?
Doing it via the transfer form retains its ISA status?
And makes no impact on any ISA allowance I may still have?
Thanks for any help.
I also believe it is taking some time to move money across at the current time.
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

People have said that is the case. One would hope that a cash transfer would be easier / quicker though.trickydicky14 said:Thanks for any help.

No! All current year money per ISA type needs to be kept together, so a subset of current year cash ISA money can be transferred to a S&S ISA (if both allow partial transfers), as long as there's no current year S&S ISA money with another provider.Albermarle said:trickydicky14 said:I think as it’s money from this years ISA allowance, I need to move all of it?
