Setting up a bare trust for a minor
I was wanting to set up bare trusts for our two children as somewhere to put money gifted by anyone other than us parents so they can make use of their CGT allowance each year. We max out their JISAs each year so there's no room in those for any more money and I don't want to leave it in cash, especially with the current…

Crypto Interest accounts
Obviously this thread isn't for anyone who still thinks Crypto is a ponzi scheme.. I have about 3% of my portfolio in Bitcoin and Ether. Most of it in cold storage. But I was interested in putting a bit of my existing crypto in a wallet that earns interest. These seem to be becoming more popular. Blockfi, Celsius and…

Al Rayan fixed 1 year rate change

I may just be having a 'senior moment' or is it the case that advertised rates may change very quickly w/out warning, and the MSE page is…

When to sell? Before or after dividend?
I'm planning to sell all my LS100. There's an annual dividend (April I believe) If I sell before then will I forfeit the whole dividend? Or would I receive a % based on the time invested? Probably more a question to ask Vanguard but just thought I'd ask her in case it's common knowledge.

Regular deposits vs infrequent lumps with a cheap provider?
I've done a bit of reading on investing, trying to educate myself over time. A common theme runs throughout - invest cheaply. Obviously this wont apply to everyone but it's the approach I've taken. My Lifetime ISA is with AJ Bell. I did this due to the low fees. My original Lifetime ISA was with Hargreaves Lansdown which I…
