Quilter Financial Advisers - presumably not IFAs?

Just that really - are Quilter Financial Advisers IFAs? I guess not but I have found reference to them having 'network IFAs'.
Also, any experience/thoughts on them? I'm getting St James Place vibes off their website.
Thanks

If they were independent they would shout it from the rooftops

You shouldnt be in any doubt.  It is a mandatory requirement for the adviser to state their regulatory status.  IFAs will make it very clear.   FAs will try and avoid the discussion by playing it down.

Quilter has their own platform, their own funds and their own salesforce.

I guess not but I have found reference to them having 'network IFAs'.

Intrinsic was the old network name and were originally an IFA network.  However, they moved to FA status in stages.  Initially with small restrictions but would increasingly reward firms with lower costs the more they would restrict.  There were some IFA holdouts but my guess is that there are not any more:  Old Mutual gives Intrinsic IFAs deadline to turn restricted - Citywire

I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

dunstonh is the person who should know!

    From the MSE's own website:
I've got a financial adviser and I'm not sure if they're independent, how do I find out?

"It's simple. Just ask. If they have a website or any documentation they've sent to you, it should clearly state what sort of advice they are giving you.

However, if it's not clear, call them up, or next time you see them, just ask. They should be able to clearly explain whether they are independent and if they are restricted, the nature of the restriction."

Just make sure you are contacting the real Quilter Financial Advisers and not a copycat scam site.
