Hi, I have a Vantage Account with Hargreaves Lansdowne. I have a Stocks and Shares ISA, a SIPP and a Fund and Share Account. All of my money is tied up in this Vantage Account. My question is if this money is safe?? I'm aware that a max of £85k is safe in a single bank account and its wise to diversify to ensure the rest…

LISA
Hello MSEs,I currently add money to the stocks and shares ISAs each year (usually the full limit) and use this to invest in different funds or shares. I had been reading more into the LISA's and how you can receive the 25% on up to £4000 and still invest in funds and shares. To me, it seems like a great idea to invest the…

Santander 123 options
With the upcoming reduction in interest to 1%, where would be the best place to move the £20k I have in this account? It does not have to be a current account, as I have one with a different bank which I can transfer my 123 direct debits to. I would consider a short term fix if required.

HL fee cap on ETF's?
I notice that HL cap their fees at £200 on shares, investment trusts & ETF's... This could make the platform significantly cheaper for large pots when compared to using HL and investing in funds? Or am I missing something? (I know there are cheaper fixed fee platforms for large sums, but I just want to talk about HL)…

Help to buy ISA - Pointless after £10,000?
In regards to the Help to buy ISA. Is this now pointless after £10,000 is reached? For example the maximum you are given is 25% on £10,000. Thereafter, is it best to move any savings over £10,000 into a better rate savings account? Most importantly, moving any money from this account wont affect the 25% government bonus…

New Santander online authentication causing concern?
Santander have uplifted their online banking site and the login authentication is simplified. They have dropped one of the validation criteria ie password and now I can login just with my user id and hard fixed length PIN code - 5 digits (which is valid for telephone banking as well). Very simple and seems to be in…
