I'm looking to add an investment which includes China,Taiwan and other similar countries. Not too bothered if its an acc fund,IT or ETF. Just browsing funds , i wonder why some deliberately exclude Japan?

Japan is often considered to be a separate sector and people often access it through single country funds.

You can get Asia including Japan but the choice is not extensive. As mentioned above, most people building bespoke portfolios would have an allocation to a) Asia Pacific (exc Japan), b) Japan and c) Global Emerging Markets.
So, 3 funds rather than 1.
