$50k in shares. Inheritance. Little experience. What to do?
Hi, I'm 20 years old and have inherited a $50K value in shares from my Grandpa. I have no experience with the share market other than the names of the share companies, the values and dividend payments. I'm a student studying Public Relations and Marketing which I have a real passion for. I have a sister who has an equal…

The 1,000 Day Challenge
Hi everyone! Everyone has a dream, right? My dream is this - to find a space where my young family can grow up in freedom, building dens in the woods and laughing through their childhood. There are lots of places like this out there but personal circumstances tie me to a small area where that is not only rare but comes…

Am I seeing this right? If I am right then a significant saving can be made over a long term? I am…

Credit rating
Unjustified Credit Rating I am having serious trouble getting a company to repair my credit rating. They claimed that I had missed two payments on a loan when in fact the loan had been paid in full. They are now refusing to write back to me and my credit rating still shows two missed payments. Can I do anything to put…

Which share dealing platform? What risks?
4 questions I would appreciate feedback on: 1. I have a FTSE tracker ISA and old PEP and a Unit Trust with a provider that charges 1%. With Hargreaves Lansdown I can get a much cheaper FTSE tracker. I also want to widen my investment portfolio further than just FTSE trackers, and have trackers and funds for global…

Invesco Perpetual Income fund
This always seems to be one of the most tipped medium risk funds, even though it is not particularly high in the performance charts. I have, however, been considering it but am confused regarding the difference between the 2 funds ( income and high income.) They appear virtually identical holdings / performance etc ?

Medium Risk Bond

ISA yeilds so low.. Is it worth it for Student saving?
Hi Guys, I was wondering as i have 6k in savings in a Cash ISA it used to pay 2.6% but my account holders only pay 1.9% now for some reason. Saving with the Co-Operative
I thought I should bring this to people's attention... Advice all over the internet, including from organisations such as Experian, several other banks and the likes, all say that applying for a savings account will not effect your credit rating. They will perform an "unrecorded query" just to check your identity and basic…

Standard Life Shares.
Edit: Reason I bumped this old thread was this: http://citywire.co.uk/wealth-manager...an-arm/a770196 So my initial OP below is no longer relevant until the above kicks in. Would now be a good time to sell? With the market overheating and the 100% increase in value? Just curious - will they continue to perform at such an…
