ISA Transfer Funds missing
Please can anyone help me get my money back. My husband and I actioned the transfer of our 2009/10 cash ISA's at the end of March. They began life as A&L accounts, but became Santander ones in the meantime. We wanted to transfer them to Halifax, so we filled in the forms with our personal details and left it with them. My…

Halifax Web Saver Extra
I have had this account for 1 year, received the interest today which looks about right. Regarding the extra 0.2%, which appears to have been registered on 29th July 2010, I believe I'll get this around 29th July 2011. Question is, could I move my cash now without affecting that extra element?

Then they sent me a letter where i have to choose a password with letters and numbers, and return…

Safest investment or savings account during financial melt-down?
I recently sold my shares ISAs reckoning that we are heading for a significant downturn as the pigs default. Even if you disagree with the above, what would you do? Which bank would be safe? I have my cash with HSBC now and they were not exposed too heavily to the last episode. But what if there were a general run on the…

Santander Guaranteed Capital Plus investments
My wife and I have cash invested in Santander Guaranteed Capital Imvestments. I understand now that this type of investment is not covered under the FSCS, although I was assured that it was when they were taken out. So, is Santander safe? How likely is Santander to go bust and would I lose all of my investment? Not sure…

CTF or new children's investment or ISA?
I have 3 children - 2 of them were eligible for the CTF at the time so have one, and my eldest has a Children's investment plan, all with F&C. I've never topped them up, but am now in the situation where I can add a little each month to them. However, now that CTFs have been done away with, I'm wondering whether it makes…
