It might be an average, just not an average of the funds that HL offer.
If there are other gilt funds included in the sector weighting that outperformed, but aren't offered by HL, then that would explain this entirely.0 -

I reckon they're published by an independent body other than HL, thus they should be directly comparable between different compaines - but I'm afraid I've never actually looked into it.0
