Spend or save for future?
I'm approaching 30 and just trying to review my finances for the future. I feel that I'm doing okay but could maybe do better with saving. I earn a reasonable wage which I guess is around the UK average. I have a few thousand in an ISA account but at the same time I have some minor debts which are higher than what I have…

Just a quick question, if a preference share has a nominal value of £1 and is 8%, would you get two divends per year of 8p each (such as interim and final) or just one of 8p at the end of the year? Thanks

Non resident savings accounts
Fixed ISA with Halifax has just matured @5.5%. Been out of UK/EU for more than 3 years so should be able to use R105 form to recive interest payments gross. As there are no ISAs comparable to the 5.5% that has just finished I have been looking into other accounts. Don't mind locking the cash away for a while but would like…

My guaranteed saver matured yesterday and I tried to transfer the funds to my Halifax current account but I am getting a message saying it takes 48 hours. Initial Saving Method
Hi everyone. Me and a partner of mine are looking to save £200 a month each in order to start a business up in the long run. However we have come into difficulty in deciding how to invest our money initally, as it seems almost worthless to deposit such low amounts at the current rate of interest in savings accounts. We…
