I queried the rate of interest I'm getting from Natwest on an e-savings account. I got the wrong information.

Here is what their rates print off has to say. What does it mean to you ?

e-Savings
Including 2.10% bonus on new accounts from 19/09/08 until 01/01/09.

I'm aware of the correct answer, I was just interested in how other people would read that, so please don't spoil it by being correct about the product :)

Insufficient information given to answer the question.

If the information was seen before 19/9/8, it would be the first option.
If the information was seen (or given) after, it would be the second, but without specifying how long the bonus lasted for.

Their own staff struggle to understand their own information.
I challenged them over this (and other related misleading statements) last year that caused me to dip out financially. Their website information was riddled with inconsistencies at the time.

Had to take them to the Fianacial Ombudsman. They initially tried to fight, but caved in before the inevitable decision.
In effect I got their bonus rate for more than 12 months!
