Not wanting to be political....BUT!
As regulars here are all to aware it's desperate trying to find a decent return for our savings. Goodness knows what the future holds for the thrifty if D Cameron gets into power... He has spent part of his day slating NH&I for "stifling the private sector" with their unrealistic generous interest rates for both 1 & 2 year…

Sainsburys Online Saver Monthly Interest
Hi Has anyone got one of these accounts if so is the following reply to an email I sent true? In response to your query, moving the monthly interest out of your Online account would be counted as a withdrawal. Any more than three withdrawals would then result in the interest rate being reduced. TIA

Lloyds Vantage Question
I'm considering opening a Lloyds account with Vantage and I've just been looking at their website to determine interest rates. Does anyone know if the higher rate of interest (4% on balances between £5k-£7k) is paid on the *entire* balance, or just the amount that falls between £5k-£7k? I've read through their website a…

What should I do with my extra money?
I am currently in a situation where my mortgage is quite small (around £500 a month) and I have around another £500 a month to invest.
