Hi
Sorry if there is already a thread about this offer, but I've searched and can't find one!
I'm an YBS regular saver 1 customer and I've received a letter offering me a fixed 3 year bond at 4.75%. Is this a good deal?
Also, if I'm reading the letter correctly, I could move £1 into the bond from the regular saver and then a lump sum from another provider. Is this correct? I'm a bit relunctent to move a lump sum from the regular saver as the rate is always ok and it's taken me a while to get that money in there!

Interest rates wil probably be higher than they are now and so 3 year fixes will probably be offered at 6-7% I would avoid more than a 2 year fix at present.0

We dont know whats going to happen, crystal ball would be handy. I took out a 3 year fixed with YBs in July the rate then was 5%, so not gettting a bad return and you can have the interest paid monthly if that is what you want, which is what I do. Just depends how you feel things are going to go.0

If there is a good getout clause then it's a good deal.0

In that case I would personally not go with it. You can get 4.65% for 3 years at Birmingham Midshires, and withdraw early for 90 days loss of interest.0
