Gold and the US Dollar Exchange Rate
I'm considering putting some money into gold. I'm aware of many of the pitfalls but I can't get my head round what happens to the sterling price if the US Dollar collapses which I think is a risk. Currently the gold price is quoted as USD937 or £680 per ounce and the exchange rate is about $1.38/£. Excluding all other…

ING-awful!
I opened a ING account to get the £20 offer. However, I was sent an email saying I had to send a cheque for £1 to open the account. On the email they gave me the wrong number so I found the correct one and was on hold for ages. I spoke to a guy and told him I had no cheque book. He told me in a very rude manner that I…

Are Nationwide treating their cutomers fairly?
Nationwide has a duty to treat ALL of its customers fairly. In December 2008 Nationwide penalised the majority of its members by ignoring the collar that was clearly documented in the mortgage Terms and Condition on its tracker mortgages. By doing this Nationwide is unfairly treating this small group of members more…

London Mint Office - any feedback?
Warning - don't get involved until you've read their t's & c's. Nothing to do with Royal Mint. This got a mention a while back on gold buying and I was wondering if anyone went through with it? I recently read an article from a gold dealer saying that they are probably ok if you only take up things you want but for coin…
