Hi all,
Although this is my first post I have been browsing the boards regulary for a few months now!
Just thought Id let anyone in North/SOuth Ireland know about Bank of Irelands 4.1% fixed 12mth account - (need min £2000) seems pretty good rate considering!
I also wanted to ask - it says in their terms and conditions that it is available to personal customers depositing 'additional funds' to a BOI account. So this isn;t necessarily 'new' customers is it?? I have called in my local branch but they were unable to help as this account is internet based.
I have always banked with BOI so I have all of my accounts there - including my current account which will have my salary paid in automatically in about a weeks time (as i only get paid every 3mths there will be more than £2000) - would this be considered additional funds? Or if necessary should I take the funds out of my savings and then reedeposit it as 'additional funds' ??
thanks!

The latter with a bit of a gap - they usually mean 'new money' ie NOT transferred from another BoI account which is money they think they already have.0
