ING - opting out of UK FSCS
Is our money still safe in ING? ING has opted out of the UK financial services compensation scheme as the Dutch National Banks Deposit guarantee scheme provides a higher level of protection Does anyone know exactly what would happen if it were to collapse?

I tried to open an e-saver with A & L on Monday. All looked OK & I awaited the promised e-mail in "a few minutes" telling me if the online application was OK or if more information was needed. 24 hours later - nothing, so I thought I would check progress via e-mail - but the appropriate page on their website wouldn't load.…

Britannia Regular Saver (post maturity)
Has anyone who received the maturity pack relating to their Britannia Regular Saver account, posted off instructions to Head Office rather than going to a branch? Interest Rate
Your views appreciated. If you had the option to put money into a fixed term savings A/C would you :- 1 put your money into a one year A/C @ 5.0% or 2 put your money into a two year A/C @ 4.5% forget all other issues its a straight forward question. Thanks

Slightly confused re Barclays Fixed Monthly Saver
Just opened latest Martins Money Tips and read that although Barclays are advertising 6% interest fixed for 1 year on the Monthly Savings Plan, if an account was opened and first deposit made before 31st December then they would honour the previous rate of 7.75%. Then read on another of Martins savings page there that it…

No it is the normal law abiding people…

At the moment I've got a…
