You dont need to change everything, why not change an amount weekly/ monthly and then it will average out.Living the good life spending all my money but loving it!!0

If you change 1000 per month for 18 months then any rises or falls in the exchange rate will be averaged out over that period but transfer fees will eat into the capital. I'd just sit tight until new year then do half then half again when you need it.
Bank accounts have an IBAN reference for international transfers so you could even do the transfer online if you have that facility.0
