Index tracking ISAs are a good way to start as they are well diversified and have average risk rating (FTSE trackers). You can also see how your money is fluctuating due to market figures being released each day.
There are funds that in general perform better than the trackers though and also invest in UK equities (Eg. Invesco Perpetual High Income).
Cofunds & Fidelity both offer v good S&S ISAsLiving the good life spending all my money but loving it!!0 -
Hi James138,
I am in the same position as you, and looking to invest in a index tracking ISA from the advise of https://www.fool.co.uk. As I have not invested before, I am not entirely sure how I go about it; can any one help me?

You should be aware that the fool article carries a lot of misinformation (mainly as its based on the US fool site where taxation on trackers and managed funds is different) and is considered biased as they sell trackers.
Whilst there can be very good reasons for being in a tracker, you should verify the reasons you are doing it and not rely on fool.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
