Bringing an old PO savings account up to date ?
Wife has just discovered that she has 50p in a PO Ordinary Savings Account, last updated in 1981. What might it be now worth (bottle of wine perhaps ?) and would the PO charge for bringing it up to date ? Thanks 4jbl7

Icici
Hi, My mum's got a large sum in ICICI on what she believed was a fixed rate of 7.2% for twelve months. She's now been informed that thanks to the BOE base rate drop she'll now be getting 4.75%. Surely that's not correct? She tells me she's on the HiSAVE Fixed Rate Account. Cheers, Richard

I applied for a SAGA one year fixed rate account (6.64% monthly) on 25th November. I was told it would take up to 10 working days to process so £95,000 sat in my current account waiting for the cheque to clear. Today, 15 working days later, they told me they did not receive the application and the offer was closed. Now the…

What's the best way to trade currency?
I have been looking at the forex and it's little bit terrifying. As I think I understand it, but probably don't as it seems v. complicated, if I put £10k in a base account and bought Euro's I would be buying £10m worth as it's 100:1 leveraged. Then if for example sterling dropped 10% off the Euro and I traded sterling back…

Warning -Tescos saver withdrawal takes 15-20 days
I have just been caught by the Tescos saver online withdrawal issue. You cannot withdraw without a card reader which is free. But takes typically 15 days to get to you - plus the normal 3-4 working days to withdraw. I didn't notice anything about this in the terms and conditions - my fault I guess.. It may pay well on…
