I have been recently setting up different bank accounts and regular savers. I have noticed that it is probably useful to have Online savers with each bank account (providing there are no penalties for having them) as sometimes the interest on current accounts is very poor! So shifting your money from the current acount to…

Hi, I opened a CTF with The Children's Mutual in November, also taking advantage of their offer of £20 of Mothercare vouchers which should arrive 'within 28 days'. 2 months later and they've still not arrived, despite my having phoned TCM to chase. Also, TCM are very slow to respond to email queries (if they respond at…

Anyone know how to sell old shares??
First posting so sorry if this is a poor effort - Just been through my financial stuff and found share certificate for 2380 Burnden Leisure Shares I stupidly bought in 1997 (Bolton Wanderers shares at the time). I paid about £1000 but the last time I looked at their price several years ago I'd lost most of that. I've tried…

Derbyshire bonds - AER food for thought ??
If, like me, you normally opt for interest to be added annually, believing that this is usually the most lucritive option, then think again with Derbyshire. When I saw that their bonds offer a better AER on monthly than on annual, I thought it must be a mistake. I then sat down and worked it out, remembering that the first…

Lloyds TSB regular saver.
I visited my local TSB branch to get information on the regular saver account paying 8%, everything seems the same as MSE describes in his article with the exception that they want me to transfer my deposit from the TSB current account rather than my preffered account. This would mean 2 transfers which could mean loss of a…
