Children's savings opinion
My mother wants to save for my neice and nephew (Her grandchildren Age 2 + 3) in an account where their parents cannot touch the money and the children have no access until they are 18 (due to a bad experience with previously saved money being spent). She has about £500 each for them in a lump sum and wants to continue to…

Standard Life Reductions
Does anyone have information on the reductions imposed by Standard Life on their WP Bonds? I bought a WP Std Life WP Bond in Nov 2000 for £20,000. Today it's worth just over £23,000 but there is a reduction of £4,800 if I withdraw it. I can't get any indication from Std Life as to when it is likely to be removed.

Balance between Savings & Investments ?
I have been inspired by the various threads on this forum to find out more and more about 'investing' rather than just 'saving'. Although I readily admit that I have the balance between the two wrong I should be interested to hear the views of others. Last year, for the first time, I invested £4k in an equities/funds ISA…
