£20K to invest

Can anyone suggest a reasonable investment for around £20K? Am a 1st year student, so no tax for the next few years.

Thanks

linlin...what makes you think you wont get taxed if your a 1st year student?

dont mean to burst your little bubble, but if you go over the tax limit, whether your 17 or a first year student, you will get taxed.

they dont look at whether or not your a student unfortunately.

    hope this helps,

Errr - full time student; no earned income; tax free allowance is higher than I'm likely to make on savings income.
