Warrants
Prior to the restructuring of British Energy's shares early last year I held over 200 shares. After restructuring I found myself with just 8 shares plus 18 warrants. What is the purpose of the warrants? What should I do with them, hold them as they are or convert them into shares? Thanks, Andy

short-term savings options?
If someone has let's say around 5,000 pounds that will have to be dispensed in around 6 months and thus cannot be risked at all, but the person does not want to 'waste' it on a no-interest current account deposit, what can be done with such a sum over a half-year or so for purposes of earning something on it?

Home-savers
Hi guys, I already have a mini cash ISA so am now looking at regular savings accounts. Given that I am saving for a deposit on a house, do I go with a standard regular savings account, or one provided by a building society that could then be transferred into a mortgage, such as the Britannia home-saver which offers 6% on…

Are all investors here debt free (except a mortgage)?
The common conception is that you shouldn't start investing until you have all debts cleared (apart from a mortgage) due to the interest that you will be chraged on your debts. I obviously agree with the above, but what about buying a car? Does everyone who invests own their car outright? I would have thought that it would…

I'd like to open a regular savings account but I've just given up my job to look after my daughter so officially I am now 'unemployed', although my husband earns.
