Regular savings account when not working

Options
I'd like to open a regular savings account but I've just given up my job to look after my daughter so officially I am now 'unemployed', although my husband earns. I started an application for the A & L 10% but stopped as there were so many questions about earnings when opening the current account. I would like to save about £250 month and as I'm not working I presume this would be tax free. I already have an Isa. What is the best way to save in my position and who will let me open an account? Would Halifax be the the best?

Thanks very much in advance. :T

i dont work and i have a Halifax regular saver and the Alliance and Leicester regular saver. However, dont forget that you will need to fill in form R85 to get registered for gross interest. You will have to let them know when your working again though.
