I have payment protection insurance on a current credit card I am attempting to reclaim. I wanted to know if you can claim back PPI on cards you cancelled the ppi on or cards you have paid off and cancelled in the past 12 months but had for many years. Any advice?

PPI and "acknowledging" debt
Hi A friend paid part of a loan, fell behind on payments and it got sold to a dodgy agency. If they write to the original lender to ask for refund of PPI would the original lender pay to them or would the dodgy agency that now owns to debt? Would making the PPI repayment claim be what is called "acknowledging" the debt,…

Egg advice please
I have received an offer without prejudice of approx £3100, but their calculations show that this was originally £3800, but they have deducted £700 from the PPI already. Any idea what this might be? I cancelled the policy in Jan 2008, but even payments since then would be approx £50 per month. Many thanks

Barclaycard PPI claim question please
A while back after all the recent news on the misselling of PPI I decided to look through the credit cards to see if I was paying for PPI on any of them. I should have known of course, but when things are part of the original agreement you tend to take them as a component part of the product. I have had the card since the…

How far back can I claim on a card that is still 'live'?
I've made a PPI reclaim on an RBS card I've had since 1996 which is still live (but not really used in last couple of years). They've responded that they are 'unsure' if I've been missold and are willing to make a good will offer of the ppi charges of last 6 years. I've spoke to them and been told that is all they have to…

'PPI Settlements' - genuine or a scam?
Hi there, I just got a phone call from a company called 'PPI Settlements' who claim that they would be able to get £2000 interest for me on a loan I took out back in 2002. Apparently all I need to pay is a £20.00 admin fee and a third of the refund to their solicitors. I feel stupid even asking this as I suspect I know…
