A while back NTL upgraded all broadbands to 1mb free of charge. My dads was upgraded but then he got an email saying we were using the internet too much and therefore would be downgraded back to our old service. Now he found out that he is paying £17.99 for under 1mb broadband (not sure the exact speed but i think 750??)…

London&Country Untrained Staff
Called L&C yesterday for a mortgage quote. She said I had to give her all the info on phone and somebody was going to call me back in few days. Sounded like unnecessary step in the process as the other guy could do it as well. But, anyway I agreed to it and started giving the details. She was such an impatient listener…

Went back at 5pm when the collection took place and asked the postman if he could find the letter so she could stick the stamp on it. The letter was right at the bottom of the box but when he pulled it out he wouldn't let my wife stick the stamp…

NTL - Darwin was wrong
I've been a customer with NTL from around 1997 when it was Comcast cable. I took broadband in 2001 as one of the first to do so, having the service removed last year as I was not at home, but keeping the phone line going. I recently signed back up on a great offer £13.99 p/m for 1Mb and was given the option of 2Mb for an…

BT cancelling appointment
My OH was due to meet a BT engineer at our new house to set up our line. She took the day off work and an hour before he was due, he called and cancelled. We were then contacted by customer services who said the nearest appointment would be two weeks later! We are so fed up - just another show of shoddy service from a…
