Market research calls / TPS
Hi Not sure if this is the right place for this but...... Is there a law/guidelines to what time Market Research Companies can make calls ? Is there a time they should not call before or after? And why does TPS not cover Market Research calls ? I'm probably being a bit unreasonable but just had a market research call after…

Unwanted calls
I'm sure this is a frequent topic on here, but I'm getting loads of unwanted calls. I took out Virgin Media and just plugged my phone in last night. So far I've had THREE unwanted calls in the one day which is just ridiculous. My partner is just out of hospital with our 4 day old baby and the last thing we want is PPI…

Extend Ring Time To Allow Use of Call Monitoring
Hi, Is there any way to extend the ring time on my land line before the voicemail kicks in? It is currently about 20 seconds and I need to set my answering machine & call monitoring system to a shorter time so that it gets in first, so it is set to 15 seconds which is virtually useless. I know I can switch off the…

can hear someone dialling in when I am on phone line?!
Hello, On our work landline, on nearly every call we make, at a random point it sounds like someone has picked up an extension of the phone and is dialling a number, then hangs up. I am currently on hold to the phone provider and it has happened about ten times whilst I am on hold! They say that there is no fault on the…

Changing supplier and cancellation costs
Hi all I'm currently paying BT about £19 a month for Line Rental and evening/weekend calls and plusnet £8 for basic broadband. I've decided this is too much:money: and so am looking to move (probably to Tesco for the £16.90 deal). BT have told me that I need to give 30 days notice, and plusnet have said that if I move with…

BT prepaid line rental / calling plan
I had signed up to a prepaid 12 month line rental plan with BT which expires on 18th April 2013. I was informed that the free evening & weekend calling plan is coming to an end. As I don't wish to continue with this, I was expecting to be able to continue on a basic package. However BT call centre staff member stated I…

BT caller display - caller's number always hidden unless caller has a UK number
At a time when BT is unreasonably introducing a charge for caller display (unlike the mobile networks), I have discovered that BT never displays the caller's number unless the caller has a UK number. The same applies to any company using BT's infrastructure. After I noticed this, I did some simple tests. If I make a call…

To TalkTalk or not to TalkTalk
Need to make the decision this week. Currently with BT/Primus/18185/EE. Do I go to TalkTalk or not ? Over the years I have been put off going for an "all in one" provider because of no flexibility but with the up coming BT increases and possible changing of the universal service obligation I am having a re think. I will…

Sky Talk 'Anytime'. Check your bills.
If you are on Sky Talk 'Anytime', it might pay to check your bill. Checked mine tonight and discovered that they were charging me for 0845 numbers which are actually inclusive on this package. Quick query via 'Livechat' & they sorted it out and arranged a refund.
