Hi All, Tele2 are doing free evening & weekend calls with no monthly fee until the end of this year (not long I admit but I believe they are the only network doing this offer and besides by the time the end of the year comes one of the other call providers may do a similiar offer again!). You've won! type of nuisance calls
Yet another nuisance automated call saying I had won something. Actually I hung up after hearing for the word 'congratulations'. How do these nuisance people get hold of my number? It is ex-directory and has the number with held when I dial out. Is my number just picked at random? Can it be blocked from these type of calls.

BT rip off again!
I have just received my home telephone bill. Total cost of calls = £4.91 Total Bill = £43.53! Q: For someone like myself who uses the phone very rarely, is there a far cheaper option than the "BT Together Option 1 - The hour plan" that I am paying £29.36 for? I would rather NOT change suppliers (and from the discussion…

Telewest - faults
My elderly Mothers Telewest phone (potentially a lifeline) has been faulty for most of the day. It has been working for a few brief periods during the evening but it seems that it shall be at least the morning before it works again (fingers crossed). Would it be unreasonable for her to expect say £10 compensation from…

mmtel dialer
I found out about the MMTel dialer by searching Froogle for 18866 - at the moment, NOCHEX Classified's MMTel dialer is the top match. It's a dialer that simply dials 18866 before all your calls. Since then, I've discovered that MMTel also do a programmable dialer. Has anyone tried it? Is it similar to this Orchid dialer…

NTL/Telewest at it again! Make the call and save some cash...
As NTL have just put the price up on their basic TV packages it could be time to revisit some old ground. My friend has phone (3-2-1 tariff), 1mb broadband (£17.99/month) and basic digital TV package (£21.50/month). As the phone line rental is free, his monthly spend was £39.49/month + calls. I got him to call the NTL…

NTL still billing me!

I'm now loving using 18866 at 2p per call  Just had a bill from NTL today as I still have their broadband until July 3, to find they are still…

0871 and 1899 problem
I had to call Easyjet customer services after they cancelled a flight I was booked onto. I kept trying to get through on their 0871 number via 1899 (I have a V2 dialler). Each time the recorded message told me the call was free and then that the number was engaged. Eventually I just dialled it directly and got through to…

Is it worth swapping line rental ever from BT?
Homecall are trying to get me to change my line rental from BT to them for £9.99 per month. Is it worth it do you think? Is it ever worth moving line rental from BT or are the savings too small do you consider? They reckoned I'd make savings of £28 per year, but thats wrong by my calculation as I only pay £10.50 per month,…

Thinking of switching to OneTel
I have been back with BT for almost 3 months now (I think this is the minimum amount of time I have to stay with them), and am considering switching to OneTel. The reason for switching is the lower line rental (and caller Display) with OneTel will work out 11.50 a month, 76p cheaper than BT. The free weekend calls will be…
