AOL Talk v. Toucan

I was on Toucan at £9.99 per month, free local and national calls no limits but decided to go with the AOL Talk offer at £7.99 per month (12 month contract). Toucan have just called and offered £6.99 per month for 6 months, after 6 months they will put me back on this tariff for a further 6 months plus £10 credit to my account.

From Martin's article on cheapest calls
All Calls Packages. The additional cost of these is £10.50 with BT, £13 with Talk Talk, £11 with One.Tel and £10 with Toucan. Thus even on the cheapest of these, compared to 18866’s 2p, it’s only worth it for those who make over 500 separate landline calls a month – an average of 16 a day.

I chat for hours every daytravelover0

Fair enough, just pointing out that it takes roughly 16 separate calls a day to make it a viable option over 18866 at 2p a call no matter how long you chat for.
Personally its enough that I have to pay monthly bills like broadband, line rental when I am on holiday and not using the service without paying for calls that I won't be making.0 -
So maybe 18866 would suit me as well.Do you just pay 2p for local and national calls?travelover0

Yes, if you have a BT line its 0p per minute for a UK 01/02 call with a 2p connection charge. So 2p per call no matter the duration
