Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel not too far from the centre of Amsterdam? I've just realised that it's not too far to drive there from Calais and we'd rather drive than fly.

Travel insurance to "dangerous" destinations - does it exist?
I need to travel to Lebanon in June. The british foreign office advice is currently "we advise against all but essential travel....." which means that standard travel insurance policies become invalid for tourist trips. Does anyone know of any insurance companies that WILL offer cover under these circumstances??

What's Blackpool like this weekend?
