What's Blackpool like this weekend?

In anticipation of good weather, I am planning a daytrip to Blackpool tomorrow, but not to Pleasure beach. Can anyone tell me if all the arcades and "summery" places are open along the Golden Mile this time of the year, including that pier that has lots of rides near the tower? Thanks in advance.

I've just driven down the prom...on way to work.
It's still pretty quiet apart fromt he Pleasure beach at weekends, the big wheel isn't up on central pier yet..they've been doing stuff on South pier..the one you were interested in..looks like some new ride but I'm not 100% certain it's open...there are some of the stalls on the golden mile open and many of the arcades are....
If you do decide to go to the pleasure beach book tickets on line it's £10 instead of £15!
Pretty much everything should be open next weekend ready for the kids breaking up
