As far as I know you should be able to take a sandwich or anything like that on the plane.
The restrictions are on liquids creams etc
You can only take on board 100ml of liquid.
But if you by drinks in the departure lounge you can take on board as much as you like.......if you can afford to buy it there!!!!
Sometimes in the departure longes they have deals on ....buy a newspaper get a bottle of water free.

it is not illigal to take such products out of the UK but it may be illigal to take them into other counties, it's best that you just check with a travel agent, they can tell you for definate but IMO taking the produces over in vacuum packs in your suitcase should not be an issue and if it is then you just have to give it up at the other end

I think if it's cooked meats you are ok anyway but I am not sure

you could also search the spanish customs web site for more info

Pre security measures last August I would have sausage sarnies in my hand luggage whilst travelling with RyanAir/Easyjet. As far as I am concerned I plan on doing that again this summer. I think it was the liquids that were causing security worries.I am not paying airport/airplane prices for something which is not enjoyable IMO.
