Le Creuset with Broken Knob
Hi, We have a large Le Creuset casserole which would cost £88 to replace according to Amazon. It's used pretty much constantly and simply loved to bits. Sad, I know!! Anyhow, my son dropped the lid washing up last week and the black knob at the top has broken. Everytime we use it now and wash-up we've a bit less knob :o…

I was wanting to make a rice pudding for tonight, but we dont get pudding rice here - only the normal long grain and I do have some basamati in the cupboard. If I put some lg rice raw in the liquidiser - would that end up something like a pudding rice? Its just a time thing coz the lg way takes hours in the oven.... tia

Best before Sept 2007!
I am planning on doing some baking this week and have found cream of tartar and essence of rosewater which I bought a little while ago both unopened with best before dates way back in 2007. I am sure that as they are unopened they will be safe to use (as it is a best before not use by date) but as I have never used these…

Do you miss anything from your "old life?"
Do you miss anything from the old pre OS life? Personally after years of chaos I'm on top of the weekly shop which feels great. I've found some great buys in charity shops.I don't eat out anymore and don't miss it at all. On the down side I don't really see how we can economise on shoes and no holiday has left me rather…
