Had to pay a £6 annual membership but can now visit as often as I wish. They have fabric, wood, electronic bits and bobs, anything that…

How unhealthy is gravy?
Since going OS to try to eat more healthily and save some money, I am managing to eat a lot more veg than I used to - admittedly it is mostly frozen, but it's a start. However, I only really enjoy it when smothered in quite thick gravy. Swede, broccolli, cauliflower, carrots, peas etc. I all find to be quite unpalatable…

Skirt problems!
I have a cotton skirt that's supposed to be creased (the girl in the shop told me to tie it when I washed it) but now it just looks enormous. I don't want to waste it, so does anyone know how I can make it crease properly? I end up with lumpy bits.

Housework rota
My wife has started work full time and we are struggling keeping on top of the house. Has anyone got a suggested chores rota so we can try and get on top of things? We seem to spend all our time in the evenings doing housework/cooking! Had a look at flylady, but can't make head nor tail of it!

Hydrogenated fats and home baking
Has anyone researched what is the best fat to use in home baking to avoid hydrogenated fat. I always assumed that Flora for example was best for this as it is a polyunsaturated marg, but noticed that it has mono-diglycerides of fatty acids. Are we back to butter, not because that is saturated. Has anyone succesfully…

Shiney new freezer (freezer management tips needed)
Just married, and we bought a shiny new freezer with some John Lewis vouchers given to us by friends. It should get to us either today or tomorrow. Now I know what I'm like, so I'm being tough with myself. I don't want our new freezer to end up as a last place of rest for all my "bargains" that I never use, so I need some…

I've just made hot Weetabix with nothing but milk...
.....and it was vile. Growing up when I was a kid my parents couldn't afford shed loads of milk so my weetabix (always hot NEVER cold) was made by pouring boiling water over the weetabix and adding a spash of milk and sugar to taste. I know this is odd (had some right funny looks at work when I used to make it) and I…
