Chocolate icing for cup cakes please.
Evening all:beer: I have managed to mis-place my recipe and want to make some cupcakes this evening with dark chocolate icing. I have chocolate and icing sugar - but no recipe. Does any one have one? I want to make a royal icing type rather than a butter icing, and use chocolate rather than cocoa (as I don't have any!)…

But unfortunately well-intentioned but misdirected step-dad blundered in with some oxy powder... When my jumper (rugby top type…

Cleaning a leather coat?
I've got a fake leather coat in a light brown colour that's got a bit grubby with use. It says specialist cleaning only and says it's 100% leather with a 50% polyester and 50% nylon lining. Is there any way I can safely clean it myself?

When giving HM Jam as gifts...
Do you open the jar before you give it to the person, to check, just in case, that the jam is still okay??? I mean, it makes no sense to open the jar before you give it to them, because then they'd be forced to put it in the fridge and eat it straight away. BUT if you don't check it, then couldn't you, quite possibly, be…

How much meat per person?
As neither OH or myself have enjoyed our cheaper cuts of meat experiments we going for quality over quantity now. I just wondered if anyone knows how big a portion of protein is supposed to be? Lasagne......why milk?
We downloaded a Gordon Ramsey recipe for lasagne and it says after you have cooked the meat part with the onions, tomatoes etc you then take it off the heat and pour 50mls of milk into it. I know you need milk for the sauce part, but why do you put milk in the meat bit? That's putting me off tbh.

Old Kenwood Chef
Not at all sure that this is the right forum for the topic, but as I am here, here goes. About 30 years ago I saved pennies in a jar and bought a Kenwood Chef, no idea about the model number, even if it had one. It did sterling service all those years until about a year ago when the kitchen filled with smoke and the power…
