How much meat per person?

As neither OH or myself have enjoyed our cheaper cuts of meat experiments we going for quality over quantity now. I just wondered if anyone knows how big a portion of protein is supposed to be? I chopped up some meat before to freeze and 6 ounces seems like plenty for a stir fry for 2 people although I'd go up to 8 or 9 ounces for a couple of chicken breasts or chops, escalopes etc. Am i being mean or is this enough. We don't like minced up meat so we eat quorn mince and sausages and figure if we have veggie dishes and ones that use minimal meat most of the time we can afford the odd nice cut.

Normal catering amounts are 4oz off the bone and 6 oz on the bone I seem to remember. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Well I guess it depends on how much you want to eat, to a large extent! But I've read that you should work on a portion being about the size of a pack of cards....doesn't sound like much but then meat shouldn't really be the majority of our diet anyway. I usually figure 100-150g to be about right....unless it's steak in which case we're looking at at least 8oz.....!
