HELP!!! I've ruined £4 worth of chocolate!
I had some fresh cream left over so I thought I would try using it to dilute the choc in my fountain as I had seen this suggested elsewhere on this forum. I melted the choc in the microwave then stirred in the cream and it went all granular and no amount of heating and stirring will make it smooth again. :( So 3 questions.…

Do you bamboozle ...?
Am I the only one who, behind closed doors, whizzes up some tired or leftover ingredient or other, adds a few bits and pieces, and when asked to say what we are having for dinner replies with some gorgeous sounding name?! An example - yesterday, I slow cooked a whole lot of vegetables in a ready-made mild curry cook-in…

Biro in wash :(
Can anyone help? I have just washed hubbys shirt and it had a ball point pen in the pocket, now his white shirt is splattered in ink. Does anyone know of anything that will remove it? I am just about to put it back in with Vanish but if it's still there when it comes out I'm after any OS removals. Thanks

What to do with leftover bits of cheese?
I usually save bits of cheese, put them in the freezer and use for cheese and onion pie, but what does everyone else use them for? Also, if cheese has spots of green mould on it is it ok to cut them off and eat the rest of the cheese? Thanks!

9p Loaf? How do you do it?
Hi Everyone, I've been making HM bread for a while but mainly for bread mixes as this was cheaper than buying a shop bought loaf. In the last week i've been trying to make my own from scratch as cheaper still but with the price of bread flour at Mr T's (80-90p) a bag i can only make a loaf for about 30-35p which is cheaper…

Icing options for chocolate yoghurt cake?
:hello: I wonder if you have any good ideas.... I've just made a CYC. :D As you can see, the top doesn't look very appealing. This is because I now use spray-on stuff to line the tin with, and it makes the sides slide up and over the top of the mixture when its cooking, IYSWIM? There's no difference to the taste, but it…

Indian Cooking
Would anyone be interested in knowing more about this topic? It is a hobby of mine and I have a real passion for Indian food. For two of us to eat out at a local Indian, with a couple of beers each, we are looking at the sharp end of £50. We rarely do this now as my wife prefers my style of cooking. I reduce the salt…

Savoury uses for mascarpone cheese?
I made a gorgeous tomato and mascarpone pasta sauce last night, but now I have almost a full tub of the cheese left over. I am TRY desperately not to turn it into a cheese cake or tiramisu, but I can't think of how else to use it in more of a main dish/savoury way? Looking online i only seem to find pasta sauces and…
