Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 7th June, 2008 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything ski m through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning Everyone
If anyone though I had got lost fetching the sticky - still having stable connection problems, the line has a certain resemblance to the underwear of a lady of the night:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I won't say any more on the subject I promise.
I saw the weather on the tv last night, so big hugs to those who need it, though my sidebar is showing me that it is sunny & 11 at home, and sunny and 7 in Gloucestershire, so hope they stay and the temps. get higher. No comment on ours GB, but :grouphug:big hugs:grouphug: to you, Pen-Pin, Smoky, Jayward and everyone else not 100%. There is always an ear here if you need it though it could be one which breaks up atm. Going to drop a query on the Techy board, but don't know if there is anything I can do about it.
Market today, after shower and hair washed, so better get a wiggle on.
Take care - DG

Morning D-G and all to follow!
Wide awake at 6am as usual, despite it being a child-free weekend & no essays to write!! Did go to bed at 9pm though as I was tired... The sun is shining outside at the moment too.
Think today I will "tidy my room"
Now it's the uni hols (nearly) I can sort through all my clothes (and motivate myself to lose weight), shunt some of the textbooks/folders out and generally have a clear-out so I can then do what I've promised myself, and completely redecorate it (and new carpet). I want to make it a tranquil lovely place to relax. I remember someone posting a pic of their bedroom they'd done, with mirrored bedside cabinets & gorgeous wallpaper - can't remember who it was or which daily to have another look though
Other than that, just general pottering.
(((((((hugs)))))) to all those needing them and :hello: to everyone else too.
Am bound to keep popping in & out all day.....!!

Morning all

Just a quick drop-in to the thread to say Hi as I have to go to work in half an hour  only had 5 hours sleep ... just don't seem to get tired on a Friday night like I do other nights before work so didn't go to bed til 12.45am and it took me ages to get to sleep!
Anyhoo, got a surprise £35.99 credited to my bank yesterday and found £5 in my bag wrapped in an Asda receipt, couldn't have come at a better time as OH and I had £3.75 between us prior to that! So we did some shopping last night to see us through and we have enough left to go for a drink after I finish work, we haven't been out for quite a while!
Hope everyone has a good day/weekend ... the lovely sun we've had here has been replaced by rain but at least it's still warm and I didn't have any washing on the line this time :rotfl:

Morning all
Just having a cuppa while DH is out with the dog. He has been gone a while, so has obviously met another walker.
Off to an auction today (not our usual one) - it is the contents of a large houise, so might be interesting. It is such a shame when whole houses are auctioned off, I try not to think about the poor people who have lived there
Anyway, off to get some breakfast in case I cave in to something really fattening later. Oh, just thought, we will have an Indian takeaway tonight, so will have something fattening anyway

Morning all - from someone who THINKS they may have successfully fought off the cold that had been lingering, thanks to First Defence and some echinacea! Just have slight sniffles and a timid little cough - not the 30-Woodbines-a-day explosions that I had last time!
Hope everyone is well.
SMOKY - (((hugs))) to you and the LOs - have a peaceful weekend.
(((Hugs))) to BETH, PENPIN, JAYWARD, MRS MIX, HILSTEP, CANDYGIRL and AUSSIE'S SISTER and anyone else I may have forgotten.
Well, I'm going to do my food shopping this morning - I didn;t feel like doing it yesterday and had a lazy day for which I now feel guilty, especially as DH took one look at me and suggested we get fish and chips from the chippie for dinner. Very tasty it was too!
The sun is beaming at the moment so I hope we all get a lovely weekend for a change. I still think it's a bit cool first thing - especially considering it's now 'flaming' June - but at least it's dry. I shall have to flutter my eyelashes at DH and get him to mow the lawns - they're covered in daisies and in dire need of mowing.
Well, I've just had a surf on here and then a shower so I suppose I'd better take DH his cuppa.
Have a great morning - see you all later.

Morning everyone,
the weather here is ok, quite cool as yet but not cold, not sunny either just overcast but hopefully it will brighten up later.
I`m sat at w**k trying not to look at the clock hands which up until now seems to be moving very slowly or not at all, i keep thinking of all the things i could be doing at home.
Before i left the bm and dw have been on, DH is w**king too later on this morning so he will be walking the houndlets before he leaves.
I never found the time to update my meal planner yesterday so hopefully this will get done later today - as will my ironing
Sis comes back from holiday later today so we should get chance to catch up later, she has been to Newquay for a week and the weather has been changeable but they did get planty of sun at the beginning of the week. I`m very jealous as DH and i arn`t able to go away until September this year, probably just as well really as we have lots to do at home and the garden still isn`t finished, managed to do a bit gardenwise before it rained yesterday evening, DH cut the hedge and the lawn and i moved several buckets of purple slate from the back garden to the front but it will take a while to get it all moved.
It will get finished eventually:D
Off for a quick browse whilst it`s quiet and i`ll catch up with yesterdays thread whilst i`m at it.
((((HUGS)))) to all in need.
Have a good day everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

yesterday was lovely here too. visited some relatives and managed to lose my phone. its a very cheap basic phone but its more annoying about losing all the numbers I have stored on it. Lost it at the supermarket, so perhaps it will turn up. number is blocked so if it hasn't turned up by monday I will order a new one.
today is saturday..no OS day
not sure what I'll do today. house is more or less up to date....apart from ironing...but its too nice a day to do that.
hope everyone is feeling well. I posted on yesterdays thread but it case they miss it special mention for pen pin - hope treatments aren't too bad, and grannybroon hope tablets help you to feel better soon.

Up early for me to get a bit of a headstart. Need to clean the house so that dgs has somethig to destroy when he gets here later. dd's (18 and 22) are coming over to put up loads of oranje flags for the euro 2008 (Hup Holland!). Haven't seen much of dd(22) this week - suspect she is going to move back into her houseshare (fingers crossed). i will cook them a nice meal later to say thanks but no one has told me what they want so will have to nip up to Mr T on the bike.
