    Morning all

HUGS to anyone who needs one. GRANNYBROON I know where you're at, hugs to you. PENPIN sorry to hear you have got to have more treatment, hugs to you.

Squiggly enjoy your time away from uni. I'm looking forward to mine when it comes.

Spent yesterday buying various birthday presents, cards ect. Scary how much money I spent. Today is FIL 70th birthday. Have bought some desserts for the barbecue today and also made a trifle, debating whether to buy strawberries as well, as there will be loads of people there. Don't really feel like going as OH's family can be really funny at times and I'm not really together at the moment. Looking forward to seeing my DSS and his GF and one of my nephews who is so lovely. Think I might just sit in the corner and hide.

Managed to make some progress with my studies yesterday. Have an essay to write that is due in next week. Am hoping my meds will have kicked in a bit and I'll be a bit more together by then. It really is annoying I'm finding it so hard to get started in the morning, will try and go out for a run in a bit.

Sorry to moan folks, hope everyone has a good day.

So relieved divers have been found safe and well. DD2 knew 2 of them well from her 8 months in Thailand so was very worried last night. What a long night it must have been in that house.

Congrats and hugs to all who need them

Morning all, sun is shining here in Berkshire so it looks like it's going to be a lovely day. Just updated my signature for June grocery challenge and having a major panic that I'm going to fail publicly yet again - so... I've now got the bread maker on and I'm just about to update my freezer inventory so I can meal plan for the next three weeks to get through June within budget. I'm also going to spuddle about in my greenhouse and plant some more spinach and lettuce. I've got a mountain of ironing to do so this should help towards a NSD!

Enjoy the sunshine everyone and have a great day.

    Morning all,

Drzzling here....dunno what just happened but typed loads and it just went....

Anyways DD phoned last night at tea time to ask if I had any hairspray as she'd been trying out a new hairdo, then asked if she could bring her washing round, OH replied yes to both q's, thinking there was loads of washing to do.
DD turns up looking like a blonde version of Amy Winehouse  apparently she'd seen how to do it on TV. Washing turned out to be a pair of white jeans, typical:rolleyes: ...the hairdo reminded me of how I used to have mine only mine was black and backcombed to the hills, and glued together with loads of hairspray so it wouldnt move for days....lol my first passport has that pic..:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    well off now so.....

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all who want/need them.

    Morning everyone
(((hugs))) to folks who want one today.
Rain here in not so sunny Suffolk but tomorrow is supposed to be good.
Plans include walking the dogs, going to library, out for a coffee and maybe just a bit of weeding of the worst offenders (they are B A D), especially the weeds near the front door as they don't make my heart sing when I see them after a day at work so they can't be doing me much good!!
Made a big pot of minestrone soup yesterday so will just cobble together something light for after that.
All in all a lazy-ish day

I did think of starting the daily at 3am this morning, but I updated my blog instead, it's a very boring blog nowadays with no Katy to entertain us, lol.
Hi to Miss Behaving, I'm in Berkshire too.
We're going to the dogs tonight, we have some friends visiting & it's a cheap night out, as long as you don't bet, which I don't. I'm designated driver, so the fun bit will be driving the drunks home at the end.
BIL has gone to look at a 1 bed house, he's thinking of renting, he's welcome to stay here, but he needs to get his stuff out of the marital home before the baliffs descend & he's reluctant to clutter up our house, I told him that I didn't mind about clutter so if he's really stuck I think he will bring the stuff here.
Big hugs to Beth, Smokey, PP, Jayward, Janny, Mrs Mix, Candy, hilstep & GB.
    Have a good day

Morning all, I managed to finish everything at the house to let yesterday so I can get stuck in at home. DW, WM, and BM on. Bed changed and sheets on the line, lovely and sunny here. Must vacume through and polish. Get the vinigar out and do the windows.
Doing asparagus with baked camembert for starters and duck breast and salad for dinner. All yellow stickered or bogof. Since I haven't been driving I have saved a fortune by using what's in the freezer and cupboards, but had to get veg yesterday.

I had a call from my Mum to say that DB2 told her about his Melanoma. So pleased she wasn't cross with me for not saying anything. Tried to reasure her that there's so much that can be done. Hope I sounded convincing.

I phoned DB2 and talked for nearly 2 hours last night, I persuaded him to let DB1 know as he also has cancer, he has asked me to break the news so will phone today. I thought they could support eachother and share their fears which always seem to esculate at 4am. ( Does for me )

Also after he has the moles measured on the 17th to see how fast they are growing or not, I suggested he tells his children (aged 23 to 16) just to say he is having some tests done to ease them into being aware of the situation because if he waits to long it will come as a bigger shock, hope I have advised right. I have said I will be with him when he tells them if he want's support.

Well folks I think I'll dust off the ironing board and try to reduce the Mt Etna pile of ironing.

Hope you all have a happy week-end, (((((((((( HUGS )))))))))) to so many needing them x
