    Evening all:D

Well I've not had time to log in for days:rolleyes: I was surprised how few posts there are for this time on a Saturday. I'll try to catch up on the missed threads later, but I've been very busy working on a surprise party:D The party's tomorrow so the light at the end of the tunnel is twinkling;)

Other than that, not much happening here.

((((hugs)))) for the sad, ill, or just if you fancy one:cool:

Keep your fingers crossed for fine weather for London tomorrow, please. She really is the bestest sis-in-law anyone could have ordered up:T :D

Helloooo everyone... Long time no see... :o

Candygirl, so glad your dad is taking your advice. :)
Aussielass, now sad for that poor family. Losing a baby must be a terrible thing. :(

I've been doing lots of old-styling lately, using my new slow cooker, shopping carefully (well apart from the wine...;)).

I had set aside £80 to buy a small heater as my other one conked out, and a basic computer desk so I can work comfortably. Well a few weeks ago a neighbour was clearing his shed and I asked where he was taking all the stuff. He said a van was coming to collect it but if I saw anything I liked, would I just take it. A perfectly good heater was there, just the sort I wanted. :D

Today coming home from one of my surveys I passed a junk shop just before closing time, and there they had a computer work station in reasonable condition. I asked and she said £10! She even offered to deliver it to my home when she found out I just lived up the road. So now here I am...:D

I have again quite a bit of stuff that I need to clear out, books, CDs, clothes, and lots of old paperwork to shred. Tomorrow I have my first complete day off in months, and I plan to spend a couple of hours going through things and bagging them up.

Have a nice weekend everybody!
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Just popping in to say (((hugs)) to RedRuby - that must be so painful.

(((Hugs))) to everyone who needs one. It's quiet on here today, isn't it? Just one of those days.

Will catch up tomorrow; I'm full of the cold which I thought I had beaten this morning so I'm off for a bath, a mooch on the sofa, some choccie and maybe a glass or two!

    Have a great evening.

    Hi everyone!

Gosh it is quiet on here today!!

I went to Lakeside really early this morning, had to pop to the bank, Robert Dias and said the kids could go play in the Ikea creche whilst me and DH were gonna treat ourselves and try their 95p breakfast.....unfortunately due to technical difficulties they were not serving Hot food:o so I still haven't tried it!!:p

Then spent the afternoon with DS doing a "Fish Lapbook" for his Animal Friends Badge for beavers. I'm not as good as some of the "creative people" on OS or those supermums on the internet:rolleyes: but it will do:D

Made a curry for tea from scratch instead of jar sauce, which came out ok - but room for improvement IYKWIM!:rotfl: I blame it on PMT - as I felt abit all over the place and clumsy and kept dropping things! Days like these I wish I'd married a chef so I wouldn't have to keep thinking of cooking!:p

Its been lovely and dry here today Essex-girl, cant believe you had rain - I didnt think you were that far from me? and forecast is for sun 24deg for London tomorrow (according to BBC web, but take that with a pinch of salt!:rotfl: ) So you should be ok for your party tomorrow Churchmouse!;)

Elona - I bought some Leo's dried peas in asda today (10p) are those the ones you use for the pea & ham soup??
Catowen - yes,you enjoy those chish & Fipps!:D Had an email from Snowy the other day, she seems to be ok. Hoping to meet up with her in July.
Aussie - glad yr sis is feeling more positive about her op.
Taplady - enjoy yr week off.
    Ivyleaf/Mrsmix - Hi!
Stefejb - Can't put my England flags up:rolleyes:

Time to take my eyes out now!!:p (contact lenses)

have a good evening all xx

    Evening everyone,
just popping back with ((((HUGS)))) for Redruby, hope that your leg is better, this happened to DH a few years ago with a new doggie from the rescue. ( he was bitten by the same dog on three seperate occasions and it ended up being a standing joke):D

It may be worth checking that your tetanus is up to date at the docs, DH had to go and have his done as it was very out of date, he was also very unlucky and got blood poisoning, antibiotics soon sorted that out though.

Aussie - what a terrible thing to happen, sometimes we don`t realise just how lucky we are.

I`ve had a couple of glasses of the old vino so i`d best head off to bed shortly otherwise i`ll not feel like w**k in the morning.

Hope that you get a good result from the viewing Elona.
    Have a good weekend everyone

Poor you redruby ((((hugs)))). I was bitten by a dog a couple of months ago - just broke the skin on my thumb but my thumb nail STILL bears the mark. That was sore enough so I hope your leg feels better soon. I went along to check my tetanus and was told that they no longer do one every 10 years and as long as you've had tetanus jab as an adult, they now believe that it gives life-long immunity. Must get my kids (23 and 21) to get one as that is handy I think. Oh the things you think of at 2am!!
(((hugs))) to anyone who can't sleep
