Staggering cost differences
Unfortunately we don't have a greengrocer nearby so I have always bought my fruit and veggies at the local supermarket. Yesterday I had to drive somewhere (about 4 miles away) and there was a greengrocer there, so I thought I'd get my fruit and veg whilst I was there. I was almost dumbstruck: tray of dates......59p…

I need a bit of help though as I'm trying to save money at the same time and find that buying muscovado or demarera sugar is more expensive than buying the shops own dark or light…

Help!
OK, I give in. I can't figure out how on earth you guys manage to insert smilies or put quotes into new threads. I thought I'd worked it out but it seems that I haven't. I know I could/should go to the IT thread but I only post on this board as it's the friendliest. Can anyone give me a bit of old-fashioned help/support?!

Candle tricks
I am SO impressed that I got to post this here - using a normal cheap white household candle, I have just fixed * the stiff door lock on a patio door. Just rubbing the candle across the door catch, and now the door opens and closes very smoothly * sticky curtain rails - they are metal with rings. Just rub the top of the…
