Candle tricks

I am SO impressed that I got to post this here - using a normal cheap white household candle, I have just fixed
  1. the stiff door lock on a patio door. Just rubbing the candle across the door catch, and now the door opens and closes very smoothly
  2. sticky curtain rails - they are metal with rings. Just rub the top of the rail lightly with the candle, and the rings glide like a charm

Apparently this also works with all sorts of other "sticky situations", and, as opposed to DW40, oil, or silicone spray, should literally last forever, plus it costs literally nothing.

Rub it up and down sticky zips - they'll run more freely then. (If you haven't a candle to hand, then a pencil should work too)

Write a message or draw a picture with one and you've got an instant 'magic picture' for kids. Just water down some paint, give them a brush or a sponge and off they go.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
