There's a long thread in Discussion Time about avian flu that might contain some advice or links, though I reckon it's going to take you a little while to read it.

Sarah, mine are free ranging the garden. Their food is in a shed, mostly to protect it from rain, they're locked in at night and the rain is keeping the paving and grass relatively clean. Have started disinfecting with some very dilute Jeyes fluid when we have dry days and hosing thoroughly.
We have got materials ready to give them a covered run if it proves necessary. The Defra advice seems to be aimed at large scale operations and while I'm checking the website and other sources regularly, I'm not panicking yet.0 -
we are doing the same
we have ducks geese and hens and theyre still all free range
just making sure to watch for signs of respiratory problems or reduction in egg laying
keep food dry and clean - keep water fresh -
keep an eye out for wild birds with any symptoms and keep area rat and mouse free ( as much as you possibly can )
until we are told any different this is how we will continue - just being extra hygenic and observant.0
