Struggling to find LPG
I came to fill up with LPG today and it dawned on me Shell no longer sell it. I have no idea where to look? There's a couple of apps with clearly bogus info (Showing Shell LPG stations) So how is one supposed to know? No reliable source of info about which stations are doing it.

Running a diesel car with DPF on not many miles per journey/year?
Not a thread for the "a diesel car is only for those who do 500,000 miles per year" lot. Also if you're doing say 20k per year and munching them motorway miles then also not really one for you. Was talking to a guy who doesn't do a load of miles today and has just bought an A3 2.0 170bhp which has a DPF. Horror stories are…

ULEZ
Hi all. According to the TFL adverts we should use their Ulez checker to see if our cars are compliant. When buying a car last year I used the checker to ensure I chose a car (used) that complied. I checked this numerous times before settling on a particular car. I purchased it in Feb last year and very happy. Recently I…

Dash cam advice
I've been umming and ahhing whether to get a dash cam. Before the pandemic, I regularly commuted on the motorway, so back then I thought a dash cam would be a given as I was on the road all the time. Even when we're allowed back into the office, we won't need to be there as much, so my mileage will be reduced drastically.…

Declaring SORN and still paying road tax?
I have an old car which is garaged unless I'm driving it. I have fully comprehensive insurance on another car which insures me to drive any car with 3rd party cover. So the car is never on the road uninsured because it's either garaged or I'm driving it. I don't want to have to buy separate insurance for this car which…

Pothole
Hi all. I hit a pothole on Friday evening in my local area in South Wales. About 15 mins later driving through a crossroads at 30mph my front driver side wheel literally came off. My van tilted and I skidded across the road and narrowly missed a parked car. My wheel carried on rolling down the hill. Luckily there was a…

Pros and cons of buying a council car (Auctions from car pounds)
I recently found a garage that sells cars at quite good prices, e.g. this: https://www.eurocarauction.co.uk/auctions/1650-vauxhall-vectra-exclusiv The sellers also advertise on other websites (GumTree, etc) for non-Auction selling, obviously at a higher price, but still seems interesting. However, I found a few strange…
