I have a 2001 Vauxhall Corsa. I've owed it for 3 years almost and never had a problem with it until now! 1. The handbrake light comes on when driving even thought the handbrake is fully off and then all the dials on my dash board go back to 0 as if the car was turned off but the car is still going! Then they all come back…

Vauxhall Astra -fuel cap won't open
Hi, all, Just went to fill up the petrol on my astra and fuel cap won't open. This happened a couple of weeks ago and my husband managed to get it open and I think its to do with the central locking (although the rest of the central locking is working fine). When the car was in for a service they said it was expensive to…

DVLA Failure to Insure - Unreasonable?
Hi, Need a bit of help/advice... My eldest had a major problem with his car a few months back, it broke down and was taken off to a garage who had to strip down the engine to diagnose the problem. Car park scrape - where do I stand legally?
I was jammed into a very tight space today and had to manoeuvre laboriously out. The car in the next space was close but not illegal - the problem was more that the car park (doctors' surgery) is not really designed to accommodate full-sized cars. Anyway I lightly scraped the other car's rear valance during this manoeuvre.…

Require deposit back from car sales
On Saturday we went to look at a car. We were happy with it other than it smoked badly. We pointed this out to the salesman and he said that it was just because the car had been sat around not being driven for a fair while. He said that he could send it to his mechanic to get it sorted. He asked us to pay a £200 deposit to…
