How to find out my exact no claims & forward on to insurers?
Hi. I'm renewing my car Insurance and wondered how to get exact bonus proof back so I can send on to my new insurers? My current Insurers says 9 years (the paperwork) but I know for sure its either 11 or12 years. Willmy current insurers have the exact record to forward on to my new insurers? If not,how do I find out the exact amount? Thanks for your informed advice.

Beyond 9 yrs it doesn't make any difference. Unless you've found an insurer that gives a NCD for 9+I am not a cat (But my friend is)0

As Alter ego says, it doesn't matter past 9 years for the vast majority of companies (some only go back 5 years). The only way to maintain a longer record is to keep hold of your renewal notice every year so you can say "I had 8 years in 2010, and no claims since then, so I now have 11 years".0
