Yellow windscreen wash.

Any suggestions on how I can change the colour of my windscreen washer fluid?
It is yellow and looks like pee when sprayed on the windscreen.
I bought a gallon of the stuff from Tesco, filled up the washer bottle and now every time I use the windscreen washers I have to put up with my young granddaughter having hysterics because the car is peeing on the windscreen to get it clean.

Getting forgetful, if you think I've asked this before I probably have. :rotfl:

Dilute it a lot? Seeing as it's not winter and you don't need it for the de-icer properties.0

It's the ready to use kind.
I did but it still looks like pee.

Your best bet is either drain it from the bottom OR syphon it from the top.
If you don't fancy a mouth full, fill a long piece of tubing with water, hold your finger over one end, place the other end in the washer bottle, lower the held end to the floor and then loose you finger. As long as the end inside is shorter than the end outside the bottle, it'll drain off easily.
Whatever you do, don't try running the washer pump until it's empty. It'll overheat and fail and cost money to fix.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Why change it, surely it is the duty of every grandparent to amuse their grandkids?0 -

Hmm could be a bit embarassing when she tells her teacher that grandad pees on his screen to clean it though :eek:14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Buy a load of the blue/pink coloured stuff and dilute it down as much as you can?0

some vegetable dye - or will that stain the car paintwork?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

not sure why the colour is such an issue?
Don't dilute it too much as i sometimes have colourless urine.
and dont get the pink stuff as my urine goes pink if i eat too much beetroot.

In fact, this particular example would be a very good opportunity to explain the feeling that is commonly known as "disappointment", and also tell her how to deal with it rather than automatically assuming it's someone else's fault and that she can potentially sue when things don't go her wayUndersteer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
If it were an older child i would say its a good job your not a boy otherwise
it would be your job to refill it.
Let them ponder that one.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
