RAC Free Fuel Offer

I wonder if anyone has experience if the RAC free fuel offer that was on a while ago.

They've sent me a pre paid Visa card which I've activated - my query is am I right in thinking that I can use this card anywhere that accepts pre-paid Visa and not only just on fuel? The terms and conditions are a bit vague on this.

I don't want to lose the rest of the instalments if I spend incorrectly!

    What are the terms of use you agreed to? It is quite possible the card could be locked to a particular merchant type (fuel), but you won't know until you try it.

    I used my RAC Fuel Card to buy crud for The Vikingettes in WHSmith.

    There is a dual incentive here: One from The RAC who want to flog you breakdown cover and Two from PureCard/Grass Roots who hope you will add money to it and us it during/after the promotion.

    Thanks for your replies.

    I'll give it a go and see what happens - the letter from the RAC says the card can be used online which is what made me think if I was allowed to use it elsewhere as you can't buy fuel online!
