Driving licence arrival time after renewal
According to the gov.uk website, the driving licence should arrive within 2 weeks (if applying online), or within 3 weeks (if applying using the Post Office service or by post). I was wondering if anybody got their new licence in the post, earlier than the 2 / 3 week time frame.

Where to find a reliable garage that does paintwork?
Hi, I have a quite large section of paintwork that needs repairing on my car. The trouble is, the garage I usually use don't do body repairs and everyone I ask seems to have paid over the odds to have their paintwork done. Obviously I don't want to get ripped off, but I do want a good job done. Basically my question is,…

More Than or Tesco Standard insurance?
Do you think the insurance differs at all in terms of service? There's £5 difference between the two. I was also considering the key insurance as I only have one car key, which is £15 - does anyone have any opinions on this? I guess it must be worth having?

Switching from a Ford focus to a C-max
Hi - I have an old (2000 plate) ford focus which has served me well, but is now approaching 100k miles and I'm looking to replace it. I quite like the look of the c-max - the older version (pre-2010) which is technically the ford focus c-max. I've had a look through the specs etc but would really appreciate hearing any…

Potentially not using insurance for accident, wise?
Hey guys, Someone bumped into the back of my car on a round about. Obviously his fault and he would do well to get out of it. Took his name, address and insurance etc. I've not taken the car to a garage yet but as far as I can see the damage appears to be just a scratch to the paintwork on the bumper, possibly the fitting…

Insurance - Many vehicles
I am lucky in that i have a few cars/bikes, but I can only drive/ride one at once, hence lower risk to each vehicle. Is there a way to insure me, rather than every vehicle seperately..? Or a better way..? Loved this forum anon for years - registered my first post so be gentle(ish) ;)

Do I need new brake disks?
I recently drove a zipcar and was shocked at how stiff the brakes on that was compared to my car. It brought to my attention that the brakes needed servicing on mine. I'm not sure if pad & brake fluid only change would suffice or if I need to change the discs too. I have taken a picture of the disk. It looks quite badly…
